Highlights: Liverpool 2-2 Wolves

In the final game of the day, Liverpool and Wolves drew 2-2 at Anfield.
The Reds were promising in the opening moments of Cody Gakpo's debut; however, Alisson Becker's roar initially gave the Wolves the lead. The goalkeeper picked up the ball and tried to pass it out, but an alert Gonzalo Guedes saved it before scoring.

Then, just before half-time, a brilliant combination of Trent Alexander-Arnold and Darwin Nunes gave Liverpool an equalizer.Heading into the second half, Liverpool looked to take matters into their own hands and turn things around within seven minutes, as Mohamed Salah found himself in the right place at the right time.
However, the Reds then came off the gas, allowing substitute Hwang Hee-chan to make it 2-2 with 20 minutes remaining. With the visitors appearing to have taken a late lead before VAR ruled the goal offside, it left Wolves heartbroken but Liverpool relieved, and the game was set to be played again.
