Highlights: Monaco 3-1 Paris Saint Germain, PSG Takes the 4th Defeat in 2023

Without Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe, PSG returned to the league after losing to Marseille in the Coupe de France in midweek and were beaten 3-1 by Monaco on the road again. Paris' lead in Ligue 1 is now down to 5 points.
The hosts showed great determination and fighting spirit, scoring just four minutes into the game, with Ben Yedder assisting Golovin to give the team a 1-0 lead. The in-form Ben Yedder then scored twice in the 18th minute and in first half stoppage time. Although PSG scored a goal by Warren Zaire-Emery in the 39th minute to narrow the gap, it was still unable to prevent PSG from suffering two consecutive defeats.
With this win, Monaco climbed from fourth to third place in the league, only two points behind Marseille who is ranking the 2nd. It was also PSG's fourth loss in 2023, to Lens, Rennes and Monaco in Ligue 1, and to Marseille in the Coupe de France.
