Yacine Adli Transfers to Al Shabab in €7M Deal

Algerian midfielder Yacine Adli has completed his move from AC Milan to Saudi Pro League side Al Shabab, marking another high-profile transfer to the Middle East. The deal, confirmed by transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, involves a €7 million package, including add-ons, with Adli signing a contract until June 2028. The 25-year-old is set to earn a reported €6 million annually, a significant increase from his wages at Milan.
Adli’s departure follows limited opportunities at the Italian club, where he made just 33 appearances since joining in 2021. With Milan focusing on a squad rebuild under new management, Adli was deemed surplus to requirements. The transfer window may have closed in Serie A on September 1, but international deals remain active, allowing this move to proceed.
Al Shabab, aiming to strengthen their midfield, will benefit from Adli’s creativity, highlighted by his 0.34 expected assists per 90 minutes in the 2024-25 season. The club has arranged for the player to undergo medical tests in Riyadh, signaling the deal’s final stages. This transfer underscores the Saudi Pro League’s growing appeal, offering European talents lucrative contracts and a fresh start, as the 2025-26 season prepares to kick off on August 28.
