Jack Wilshere Appointed as Luton Town’s New Head Coach
Luton Town has confirmed the appointment of Jack Wilshere as its new head coach, marking a significant step in the former Arsenal midfielder’s transition into senior management. The 33-year-old, who retired from professional football in 2022 due to persistent injuries, has agreed to take the helm at Kenilworth Road following positive talks with the club’s board. His unveiling is scheduled for Monday morning, signaling the start of a new chapter for the League One side.

Wilshere’s appointment comes after the recent dismissal of Matt Bloomfield, who was sacked last week after nine months in charge. Luton, relegated from the Championship last season, currently sits 11th in League One with five losses in their first 11 games. Wilshere brings coaching experience from Arsenal’s youth setup and a brief interim stint at Norwich City, where he oversaw two matches at the end of last season.

The club has also lined up former Arsenal defender Steve Bould to join Wilshere’s staff, aiming to leverage their shared history for stability. This move reflects Luton’s ambition to rebuild and push for promotion, with Wilshere’s tactical acumen and playing pedigree seen as key to turning around the team’s fortunes in a competitive division.
