Juventus Sacks Igor Tudor, Appoints Interim Coach Amid Crisis

Juventus has dismissed head coach Igor Tudor following a dismal run of form, marking the club’s second managerial change within a year. The 47-year-old Croatian was sacked on Monday after an eight-game winless streak, culminating in a 1-0 defeat to Lazio. Tudor, who took charge in March and secured a fourth-place finish last season, struggled to replicate that success, leaving Juventus eighth in Serie A and winless in their last four matches across all competitions.
The club has appointed Massimo Brambilla, coach of Juventus Next Gen, as interim manager for the upcoming match against Udinese. Brambilla, a former player with extensive youth coaching experience, steps in as the team seeks stability. Juventus director Damien Comolli is reportedly eyeing Luciano Spalletti, the former Napoli coach who led the side to the 2022-23 Serie A title, and Raffaele Palladino, recently parted ways with Fiorentina, as potential long-term replacements. Spalletti, currently unattached, is said to be open to a competitive project, with face-to-face talks planned.
This managerial upheaval highlights Juventus’ ongoing challenges, with the club now focusing on a swift turnaround under Brambilla’s temporary leadership. Further updates on the permanent appointment are expected soon.
