TA: Juventus and City Football Group Approach Houston Dynamo for 20-Year-Old Midfielder Raines

November 6 – According to a report by Tom Bogert, The Athletic's MLS correspondent, Juventus and City Football Group have made contact with the Houston Dynamo regarding a transfer for U.S. youth international midfielder Brooklyn Raines.
No official offer has been submitted to the Houston Dynamo yet, but initial discussions have taken place.
Sources add that clubs in Major League Soccer are also interested in Raines. The 20-year-old's contract with the Dynamo runs through the end of the 2026 season, and a move to an MLS team could be structured as a straightforward cash deal.
Raines has made 27 appearances across all competitions for the Dynamo this season, a career high. To date, he has featured 61 times for the first team.
The technically skilled, deep-lying midfielder fits well within Houston's possession-oriented style of play. Raines was a key starter for the United States U20 national team at the FIFA U20 World Cup in Chile. Coach Miloš Mitrović's squad reached the quarterfinals – beating France in the group stage – before losing to eventual champions Morocco.
City Football Group (CFG) owns a number of clubs across Europe, most notably Manchester City. CFG also holds stakes in Girona, Palermo, Troyes, and Lommel, as well as MLS side New York City FC.
Meanwhile, Juventus remains one of Italy's most storied clubs and also fields a reserve team in Serie C.
