São Paulo Official Statement: Oscar Detected with Heart-Related Abnormality During Medical, Hospitalized for Treatment


November 11 – São Paulo FC has issued an official announcement stating that midfielder Oscar was found to have a heart-related abnormality during preseason medical examinations and has been hospitalized for treatment. He is currently in stable condition.
During preseason preparations for the 2026 season at SuperCT on Tuesday morning (November 11), Oscar displayed an abnormal cardiac-related reading during his medical tests. He immediately received emergency care from the club's medical staff and the team from Hospital Israelita Albert Einstein, who were also present on-site.
Subsequently, the player was transferred to the hospital, where he remains in stable clinical condition. He will continue to be monitored and undergo further complementary tests to determine the exact cause of the abnormality.
In line with standard procedures and with respect to the player's privacy, further medical updates will be provided by the medical team, with the consent of Oscar himself, as new information becomes available.
