Désiré Doué Crowned 2025 Golden Boy Winner in Turin

Paris Saint-Germain’s 20-year-old attacking midfielder Désiré Doué has been named the 2025 Golden Boy, the prestigious award presented by Tuttosport to Europe’s best player aged 21 or under.
The France U-21 international received the trophy at a gala ceremony in Turin on Monday evening, becoming the 23rd recipient since the award’s inception in 2003 and the third PSG player to claim it after Kylian Mbappé (2017) and Warren Zaïre-Emery (2024).
Doué enjoyed a breakthrough 2024-25 campaign, registering 16 goals and 16 assists in 61 appearances across all competitions. His performances played a pivotal role in PSG’s domestic treble and their triumphant UEFA Champions League campaign, which culminated in a final victory over Inter Milan in Munich.
Trained at Rennes before his €50 million transfer to Paris in the summer of 2024, Doué beat stiff competition from Barcelona’s Lamine Yamal, Real Madrid’s Arda Güler, and Manchester United’s rising star Leny Yoro to the award, decided by votes from 50 leading European journalists.
Speaking after the ceremony, Doué dedicated the honor to his family and PSG coach Luis Enrique: “This is a dream come true. I’m grateful for the trust the club and the coach have shown in me.”The Golden Boy trophy now returns to Paris for the second consecutive year.
