Fenerbahçe Secures Joey Veerman from PSV in Major Midwinter Move

The Turkish giants are set to trigger a release clause exceeding €20 million, with reports suggesting the fee could reach €23 million once activated on January 1, 2026.The 27-year-old Netherlands international, who has agreed personal terms with Fenerbahçe, is poised to bolster the club's midfield as they chase the Süper Lig title.

Currently second in the league, three points behind leaders Galatasaray, Fenerbahçe view Veerman as a key addition to enhance their creativity and control.Veerman has been in outstanding form this season at PSV, contributing eight goals and six assists in 15 Eredivisie appearances. Known for his exceptional vision, passing accuracy above 90%, and set-piece prowess, he joined PSV from Heerenveen for €6 million in 2022. Since then, he has made 177 appearances, scoring 31 goals and providing 59 assists while helping secure two league titles and two KNVB Cups.

The transfer outbids interest from Premier League side Brentford, who had pursued Veerman last summer.
