Real Madrid Set to Re-Sign Nico Paz from Como in Summer 2026

Real Madrid are preparing to activate a buy-back clause to bring back promising Argentine midfielder Nico Paz from Serie A side Como in June 2026, according to multiple reports including transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
The 21-year-old attacking midfielder, a product of Real Madrid's academy, joined Como in 2024 for €6 million. The deal included a staggered buy-back option, allowing Los Blancos to repurchase him for around €9-10 million in the summer of 2026. The clause cannot be triggered in January, ensuring Paz remains with Como for the remainder of the 2025-26 season.
Paz has excelled in Italy under coach Cesc Fàbregas, establishing himself as one of Serie A's standout young talents. In the current campaign, he has contributed significantly with goals and assists, helping Como compete at the upper end of the table. His performances have drawn praise for his creativity, vision, and goal-scoring ability from midfield.
The player has reportedly already agreed to the return, viewing it as a dream move back to the Santiago Bernabéu. Real Madrid see Paz as a long-term asset to bolster their midfield options, with his development closely monitored.
Despite interest from several Premier League clubs, including Arsenal, Chelsea, and Tottenham, Paz remains focused on his impending return to Madrid. The deal is widely regarded as excellent value given his rapidly rising market valuation, estimated between €55-65 million.
