Cristiano Ronaldo Claims Best Middle East Player at 2025 Globe Soccer Awards

Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo added another accolade to his illustrious career by winning the Best Middle East Player award at the 16th Globe Soccer Awards held at Atlantis The Royal in Dubai.
The 40-year-old Al-Nassr captain secured the honor for the third consecutive year, beating out strong competition including Karim Benzema (Al-Ittihad), Riyad Mahrez (Al-Ahli), and Salem Al-Dawsari (Al-Hilal). Ronaldo's prolific form in the Saudi Pro League, where he has led the scoring charts and contributed significantly to elevating the region's football profile, underpinned his victory.
Upon receiving the trophy, Ronaldo expressed gratitude and reaffirmed his ambitions. "Thanks to Globe Soccer for this amazing award," he said. "I will reach 1,000 career goals for sure, if I stay injury-free." He emphasized his ongoing passion for the game, noting that his drive remains unchanged regardless of the league.
The Globe Soccer Awards, established in 2010 and combining fan votes with a professional jury, celebrated global football excellence. Ronaldo's win highlights his enduring impact in the Middle East since joining Al-Nassr in 2023, where he has scored over 100 goals.
