Live European Coefficients: Premier League Leads by a Wide Margin, Bundesliga 2nd, La Liga 4th, Serie A 5th

January 23 – Following this morning's Europa League matches, the European coefficient rankings for this season have seen further changes.
The league phase of this season's UEFA Europa Conference League has concluded, while the Champions League and Europa League each have one final matchday remaining. Among the top five European leagues, only Ligue 1 (France) has yet to return to the top five, with Poland's Ekstraklasa currently occupying that spot.
The allocation of the additional Champions League spot for this season will follow last season's rule: the two leagues with the highest seasonal coefficients will each receive one extra Champions League berth. (Last season, the Premier League and La Liga earned these spots.)
A league's coefficient for the current season is the average of points earned by all its participating clubs in European competitions. If a team is eliminated in the qualifying rounds, it still factors into the average calculation as a "denominator" that no longer earns match points.
In the main stages of European competitions, a win earns 2 coefficient points, and a draw earns 1 point. Points earned in qualifying rounds are halved.
Additional points are awarded based on final league stage ranking and progression through each knockout round. Specifically, after the league phase concludes, the top 24 teams in each competition receive bonus points. For the Champions League, first place receives 12 bonus points, decreasing by 0.25 points per rank down to 6 points from 25th onward. For the Europa League, first place receives 6 points, decreasing by 0.25 per rank to 0 points from 25th onward. For the Europa Conference League, first place receives 4 points, decreasing by 0.25 per rank to 2 points for 9th place; from 9th to 24th, each rank decreases by 0.125 points, with 0 points from 25th onward.
