Live European Coefficients: Premier League Leads, Primeira Liga Rises to 2nd, Bundesliga 3rd, La Liga 4th

January 30 – With the final round of the Europa League league phase completed, the group stages of all three UEFA club competitions this season have concluded, and the European coefficients have been updated accordingly.
Teams finishing in the **top 24** of each competition’s league phase and advancing to the knockout rounds have received ranking bonus points. Additionally, clubs directly qualifying for the **Round of 16** receive progression bonus points on top of their ranking points.
The allocation of the additional Champions League spot for this season follows last season’s rule: the **two leagues with the highest seasonal coefficients** will each receive one extra Champions League berth. (Last season, the Premier League and La Liga earned the extra places.)
A league’s seasonal coefficient is the **average** of points earned by all its participating clubs in UEFA competitions. Teams eliminated in the qualifying rounds still factor into the average as a “denominator” but no longer earn match points.
