Piqué Again Lashes Out at Referee: "It's an Epic Robbery, I'm Putting It on the Internet"

April 2 – According to AS, Gerard Piqué, the majority shareholder of Segunda División club FC Andorra, has once again displayed his combative and uncompromising nature. Following Andorra's match against Málaga on Wednesday, the former Barcelona star caused a major incident due to his extreme dissatisfaction with the referee's performance.
According to the match report submitted by referee Ojaos Varela after the game, Piqué engaged in a heated verbal altercation with the officiating team in the tunnel during halftime.
The referee's report detailed the incident: "After the end of the first half, in the tunnel leading to the dressing rooms, Piqué approached the first assistant referee in a highly aggressive manner. Shouting loudly, pointing with his index finger just inches from the assistant referee's face, he repeatedly yelled: 'This is an epic robbery!' and 'I'm putting this on Twitter!'"
It is worth noting that despite Piqué's "social media warning" at the scene, no such comments have appeared on his personal Twitter account as of yet. The report also noted that Piqué was involved in a verbal dispute with Málaga staff members: "The individual also used insulting language towards members of Málaga's staff, and had to be restrained by Andorra club staff and security personnel."
Piqué's fury stemmed from two key decisions in the final moments of the first half: a goal by Andorra player Yerai was disallowed after the referee deemed Lautaro had fouled Murillo in the buildup. Additionally, the referee awarded Málaga a penalty after ruling that Gael had stepped on Joaquín, allowing the visitors to extend their lead to 2-0.
Piqué was so outraged by these two decisions that he rushed to the tunnel at halftime to "demand an explanation."
This is not the first time Piqué has clashed with officials as a club owner. Similar incidents occurred during Andorra's matches against Mirandés and Leganés. In the match against Leganés, Piqué was fined €9,000 for shouting "This is a fcking disgrace." Given Piqué's status as a "repeat offender" in such "testimonial misconduct," both FC Andorra and Piqué himself are likely to face stricter sanctions and a substantial fine from La Liga.
