Spain Cruise Past Austria 3-0 to Reach the FIFA World Cup
Spain delivered another statement performance at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, defeating Austria 3-0 in the Round of 32 to book their place in the last 16. Just minutes later, Oyarzabal finished a superb low cross from Cucurella to give Spain a deserved 1-0 lead before halftime.

In the closing minutes, Oyarzabal completed his brace with a composed finish following another perfectly weighted pass from Cucurella, sealing an emphatic 3-0 victory. The striker's clinical display and Cucurella's two assists made them the standout performers of the night.
The result further strengthened Spain's reputation as one of the tournament favorites. Their balanced squad, disciplined defense and fluid attacking football have made them one of the most impressive teams in the knockout stage.
