Yamal and Raphinha Braces Keep Barcelona Perfect with 5-2 Rout over Rayo Vallecano

Hansi Flick’s Barcelona maintained their flawless start to the 2026/27 La Liga campaign, storming to a commanding 5-2 victory against Rayo Vallecano at the Camp Nou to secure a third consecutive league win.

The visitors initially shocked the home crowd when Sergio Camello opened the scoring in the 12th minute. However, Barcelona responded with ruthless efficiency. Raphinha leveled the score just seven minutes later, before 19-year-old sensation Lamine Yamal fired the Catalans ahead in the 21st minute following a precise assist from Marc Bernal.

The momentum stayed firmly with Barcelona after the break. New summer signing Anthony Gordon caused havoc on the left wing, forcing an own goal from Florian Lejeune in the 51st minute. Though Camello briefly clinical narrowed the deficit with his second goal from a corner, Barcelona quickly shut down any hopes of a comeback. Gordon turned provider in the 71st minute to set up Raphinha’s second, and Yamal capped off the spectacular five-goal display in the 90th minute, assisted by Karim Adeyemi.

With nine points from three matches, Barcelona comfortably sits at the summit of the La Liga table.
