Belgium host Turkey at Stade Maurice Dufrasne in Liège on Matchday 3 of UEFA Nations League League A Group 1. The Red Devils sit second with three points — an impressive 2-0 away win over Italy was followed by a narrow 1-0 home defeat to France — while Turkey are bottom with zero points after losses to both France and Italy. With Belgium chasing leaders France and Turkey desperately needing their first points, this fixture carries significant stakes.

Belgium will be without Diego Moreira (suspended), Jeremy Doku and Amadou Onana (injury), while Thibaut Courtois has been rested and Romeo Lavia is a doubt. Kevin De Bruyne is expected to pull the creative strings in attack. Turkey have been hit harder: Hakan Çalhanoğlu and Kenan Yıldız remain sidelined, and Orkun Kökçü has withdrawn with a toe injury. On the plus side, goalkeeper Uğurcan Çakır returns from suspension, and Arda Güler remains Turkey's primary attacking threat.

Belgium's home advantage and superior squad depth should tip the balance, though Turkey's tendency to grind out draws — three of the last five meetings have been level — makes this far from straightforward. Expect a competitive contest with Belgium edging it by a narrow margin.

Prediction: Belgium 2-1 Turkey
