Bayern Set to Sign Cancelo from Manchester City
English Premier League club Manchester City is ready to send Joao Cancelo to Bayern Munich. Bayern will get the wing-back on loan with an option to sign the player permanently at the end of the season for around €70 million.
The Portuguese star's misbehavior at City and his poor relationship with manager Pep Guardiola are the reasons for his departure.
The reigning Premier League champions have reportedly agreed to let Cancelo go after the team felt he was disrupting the atmosphere in the locker room. He had been voicing his discontent through different channels, causing tension in the team as he was not able to get a chance to play after the World Cup. After returning from the World Cup, his relationship with Guardiola gradually deteriorated and the two had a tense discussion before.
