Mundo Deportivo's Barcelona Player Ratings: Lewandowski Tops with 9, Yamal 7, Szczęsny Bottom with 4
November 10 – In the 12th round of the 2025–26 La Liga season, Barcelona defeated Celta Vigo 4–2 at Balaídos, powered by a Robert Lewandowski hat-trick. Hansi Flick’s side struggled in the first half, appearing confused and hesitant in possession. After the break, a more familiar Barça emerged, staying true to their style and taking greater control of the match. Marcus Rashford showcased his playmaking ability on the wing, while Frenkie de Jong grew into the game as the midfield anchor.

**Wojciech Szczęsny (GK) – 4**
Faced little threat in the second half, but hesitated and made another error in the buildup to Celta’s first goal. The defense protected him after halftime, sparing him further tests.

**Alejandro Balde (DEF) – 5**
Looked sluggish defensively early on but noticeably improved his performance, providing strong support for Rashford and contributing more in attack as the match progressed – a slow start but a stronger finish.

**Pau Cubarsí (DEF) – 6**
At fault for a disorganized offside line in Celta’s opening goal, but his performance improved significantly in the second half, forming a solid and balanced partnership with Ronald Araújo.

**Ronald Araújo (DEF) – 6**
Like Cubarsí, his level rose markedly after halftime. He tackled decisively, pressed aggressively, and took on the role of covering defender, bringing better balance to the backline.

**Eric García (DEF) – 6**
The defender delivered a steady and confident display, proving to Flick that even if it’s not his most natural role, he is fully capable of performing in it.

**Frenkie de Jong (MID) – 6**
Helped turn the tide for Barcelona. After a disastrous first half, he took control of the game, redefined Barça’s tactical setup, and enabled the team to play to their strengths – a performance of two halves. Was sent off late for stepping on Aspas.

**Dani Olmo (MID) – 6**
Unexpectedly started due to Casadó’s training discomfort. Showed some neat touches and tried to link up with the forwards, though not always successfully. Had a clear scoring chance just before halftime.

**Fermín López (MID) – 6**
Proved that decisive contributions don’t always require flashy play – he worked tirelessly for the team. His often-unseen efforts supported the squad and made a difference.

**Marcus Rashford (FWD) – 7**
Although his finishing lacked precision, he demonstrated his ability as an excellent creator. He helped the team in this regard and finished the match with two assists.

**Robert Lewandowski (FWD) – 9**
A dream return to the starting lineup. The Pole delivered a stunning hat-trick and sent a clear message to Flick: regardless of doubts about his form or age, he always responds on the pitch. He only needs a few chances to change a game.

**Lamine Yamal (FWD) – 7**
Didn’t see as much of the ball as in the previous match against Club Brugge, but his quality was still evident. He only needed a fleeting moment to make a difference, scoring Barça’s third goal and hitting the post with a chance for the fifth.

**Andreas Christensen (DEF) – 5**
Made little impact during his brief appearance and had to leave the pitch after a collision.

**Gerard Martín (DEF) – 5**
Successfully contained the ever-troublesome Sarabia but lacked the time and space to push forward on the left flank.

**Ferran Torres (FWD) – 5**
During his limited minutes, he actively offered himself as an outlet, showed good ball retention, and helped Barça maintain the scoreline.

**Marc Bernal (MID) – Not Rated**
Came on when the match was already decided and didn’t even have time to touch the ball. With de Jong suspended and Casadó still unfit, he is set to feature more prominently in the next match.
