AC Milan close to securing Juan Arizala for €3m

AC Milan are on the verge of completing the signing of 20-year-old Colombian full-back Juan Arizala from Independiente Medellín, according to Fabrizio Romano. The proposed deal is worth a fixed €3 million plus a significant sell-on percentage, with the player set to join the Rossoneri in January.
Arizala, capable of playing on either flank, has impressed in the Colombian Primera A this season. The right-footed defender led the league in successful crosses and completed dribbles among full-backs, contributing two goals and maintaining consistently high performance levels across 22 appearances. He has also been a regular starter for Colombia’s Under-20 national team, earning strong ratings in recent international matches.
Milan reportedly beat competition from clubs in England and Belgium to secure the youngster’s signature. Arizala’s current market value is estimated at around €250,000, making the transfer another example of the club’s strategy of targeting high-potential South American talents at relatively low initial cost.
Medical tests and final details are expected to be completed in the coming weeks, after which the transfer will be officially announced. The move would further strengthen Milan’s depth at full-back and continue their recent focus on emerging prospects from the region.
