Saka Set to Become Arsenal's Top Earner with £300k-a-Week Deal

Saka Set to Become Arsenal's Top Earner with £300k-a-Week Deal
January 10 – According to multiple reports, including those from *The Times* and *The Daily Telegraph*, Bukayo Saka is close to finalizing a new five-year contract with Arsenal worth around **£300,000 per week**.

The 24-year-old English winger will become the **highest-paid player at Arsenal** and one of the best-paid English players in the Premier League. His new deal will run until **2031**.

Currently, Jack Grealish – on loan at Everton from Manchester City – earns £300,000 per week, while Chelsea’s Raheem Sterling earns £325,000 per week.

Since Saka signed his current four-year contract worth about £200,000 per week in May 2023, his influence for both Arsenal and the England national team has continued to grow.

This season, he has contributed **4 goals and 5 assists** in the Premier League. Overall, he has scored **57 goals and provided 48 assists** in 214 appearances for the club.

A product of Arsenal’s academy, Saka will follow in the footsteps of William Saliba and Gabriel, both of whom have renewed their contracts with the club in recent months. Arsenal are also close to finalizing a new deal with **Jurriën Timber** and plan to open talks with other key stars, including **Martin Ødegaard, Kai Havertz, David Raya, and Mikel Merino**, whose contracts all expire in 2028.

The 26-year-old Havertz is currently the club’s highest earner, believed to be on a weekly wage of around **£270,000**. Declan Rice’s contract also expires in the summer of 2028 but includes an option to extend until 2029.

**Max Dowman** has already agreed to sign a scholarship contract that will take effect next season.

Now that he has turned 16, he can begin negotiations for his first professional contract, which will come into effect when he turns 17 in December. This follows a similar path to his academy teammates **Ethan Nwaneri** and **Myles Lewis-Skelly**, both of whom signed new deals last summer.

Arsenal’s financial reports indicate they have **further financial flexibility** if they can maintain annual Champions League revenue.

Despite the wage bill increasing from £235 million to £328 million in the latest club accounts released in February, it represents about **53%** of the £616 million total turnover. Last season, the club earned approximately **£97 million** from reaching the Champions League semifinals, in addition to **£171.5 million** in prize money for finishing as Premier League runners-up.
