AFC Considering Moving ACL Elite Finals to East Asia if Situation Deteriorates

March 13 – According to an exclusive report by Omani journalist Issa Said, the AFC has begun considering East Asia as an alternative host region for the AFC Champions League Elite knockout stage.
Following the restructuring of the AFC Champions League, the ACL Elite has adopted a centralized tournament format starting from the quarter-finals, hosted in West Asia. This season's ACL Elite Finals are scheduled to take place from April 16 to 25 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. However, due to the tense situation in the West Asia region, concerns have been raised about whether the matches can proceed as planned.
The journalist reports that if the situation continues to deteriorate, the AFC is considering moving the competition to East Asia as a backup option.
