​Shakira Performs Again for World Cup! Releases Song "Dai Dai" with Lyrics Mentioning Messi and Ronaldo

On May 15, Shakira released the official song "Dai Dai" for the 2026 World Cup on her social media.

This marks the fourth time the Latin superstar has performed for the World Cup, starting with the 2006 tournament in Germany.

2006 Germany World Cup – "Hips Don't Lie (Bamboo Remix)"  
Although this was not the official theme song (which was "The Time of Our Lives"), Shakira's stunning performance at the closing ceremony made the track one of the most memorable songs of the tournament.

2010 South Africa World Cup – "Waka Waka (This Time for Africa)"  
This was one of the pinnacles of Shakira's career and served as the official theme song. She performed at both the opening and closing ceremonies, and the song is still widely regarded as one of the most successful World Cup anthems in history.

2014 Brazil World Cup – "La La La (Brazil 2014)"  
She once again took the stage at the closing ceremony, setting a record by becoming the first artist to perform at the World Cup final on three consecutive occasions.
