Arema FC Finalizes Foreign Squad with Trio of Brazilian Signings for Super League 2026/27
Arema FC have officially completed their foreign player roster ahead of the 2026/27 Super League season by filling the maximum quota of 11 overseas players. The club wrapped up its recruitment campaign with the announcement of three Brazilian additions, reinforcing its ambition to compete at the highest level throughout the upcoming campaign.
The first of the new arrivals is attacking midfielder Raianderson da Costa Morais, better known as Careca. The experienced 30-year-old brings a diverse football background after playing in Brazil, South Korea, and Malaysia. His creativity, technical ability, and attacking instincts are expected to strengthen Arema's midfield under head coach Marcos Santos.
The club also boosted its attacking options by signing winger Marcos Vinicius Silvestre Gaspar. The versatile 28-year-old is capable of playing on the left flank, as a second striker, or in a wide midfield role. His pace, dribbling ability, and direct attacking style are expected to add greater flexibility to Arema's offensive approach.
The final piece of the foreign-player lineup is Brazilian striker Gustavo Henrique Rodrigues. Brought in as the team's primary goal-scoring option, he is expected to lead the attack and provide a consistent source of goals during the new season. His arrival officially concludes Arema FC's overseas recruitment for the campaign.
With all foreign-player slots now filled, Arema FC enter the new season with a squad assembled according to the coaching staff's tactical plans and positional needs. The addition of the three Brazilian players is expected to improve the team's overall balance, increase attacking quality, and strengthen the club's push for success in the 2026/27 Super League.
