Man City Open Talks for Enzo Fernández but Face Stiff £120m Chelsea Valuation

Manchester City have established formal contact with the representatives of Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernández, though any potential transfer hinges entirely on the Stamford Bridge club's staggering valuation.
Transfer market expert Fabrizio Romano reports that Chelsea are demanding a massive £120 million fee for the Argentine World Cup winner. The West London club is under no financial pressure to sell and would be perfectly content keeping the 25-year-old playmaker in their squad for the upcoming season unless their precise asking price is met in full.
Manchester City management initiated the inquiry with the hope of negotiating a lower, more reasonable figure. Etihad officials view Fernández as a world-class addition capable of dictating tempo in Pep Guardiola's elite midfield, especially amidst ongoing transfer market speculation regarding their current squad depth.
However, Chelsea's firm stance leaves very little room for compromise. Unless the reigning Premier League champions decide to shatter their internal transfer structure to match the nine-figure demand, negotiations are expected to remain deadlocked. The deal depends completely on price, with Chelsea holding all the leverage.
