Ferran Torres Completes €50m Move to Paris Saint-Germain from Barcelona

Spain’s World Cup hero Ferran Torres is set to join Paris Saint-Germain after Barcelona accepted a €50 million bid from the French giants, football insider Fabrizio Romano has confirmed. The 26-year-old forward had prioritized a move to Paris, with the final stages of negotiation successfully wrapping up after days of intense talks.

Torres, who famously scored the decisive goal in the 2026 World Cup final, was granted permission by Barcelona manager Hansi Flick to miss training to finalize his departure. The move reunites Torres with PSG manager Luis Enrique, his former head coach with the Spanish national team.

The versatile attacker is expected to occupy the number nine role in Paris, filling the void left by Gonçalo Ramos following his recent transfer to AC Milan. For Barcelona, the €50 million fee provides essential financial relief to comply with La Liga’s strict Financial Fair Play regulations.

However, Torres' departure leaves the Catalan club without a senior natural striker, following Robert Lewandowski’s earlier move to MLS side Chicago Fire. Barcelona will immediately reinvest these funds to accelerate their pursuit of Atlético Madrid forward Julián Álvarez.
