Ramos Capitalizes on Goalkeeping Blunder as Portugal Edge Norway 2-1

Gonçalo Ramos pounced on a disastrous goalkeeping error to secure a hard-fought 2-1 victory for Portugal against Norway in their UEFA Nations League League A clash at the Ullevaal Stadion on Sunday night.

Portugal broke the deadlock in the 17th minute when João Félix clinical finished to silence the home crowd. However, Norway responded strongly after the interval. Five minutes into the second half, talisman Erling Haaland extended his record-breaking Nations League goal tally, smartly converting a precise cross from Patrick Berg to level the score.

The hosts' joy was incredibly short-lived. Just three minutes later, Norwegian goalkeeper Ørjan Nyland committed a catastrophic mistake, passing the ball directly to the alert Ramos. The Paris Saint-Germain forward intercepted the clearance and calmly lofted a precise chip over the stranded keeper to restore Portugal's lead.

With Cristiano Ronaldo watching from the bench as an unused substitute, Roberto Martínez’s disciplined side successfully withstood late Norwegian pressure to preserve their advantage. The narrow victory maintains Portugal’s perfect start to the campaign, leaving them sitting comfortably at the top of Group A4 with six maximum points from their opening two fixtures.
