Chelsea make new £105m offer for Enzo Fernandez💰
Chelsea have reignited their interest in Fernandes, with the transfer window all but closed after failing to secure a deal at the start of January. According to the Daily Telegraph, the Blues have made a £105 million bid to Benfica and are hopeful of completing the deal before the transfer deadline.

The current offer is in line with the buyout clause inserted in Fernandes' contract with Benfica, but sees the fee staggered between one large payment and five smaller installments. Reports say that leaves room for negotiations, but Chelsea hope the money will be enough to convince Benfica to eventually let Fernandes go.
If the deal is done for that fee, Fernandes would break the UK transfer record set by Jack Grealish when he moved to Manchester City in 2021, while also surpassing the amount they paid to re-sign Romelu Lukaku from Inter Milan. A club record transfer fee of £97 million was paid.
