Live European Competition Coefficients: Premier League Leads, Bundesliga & Serie A 2nd/3rd, La Liga 6th, Ligue 1 8th

Live European Competition Coefficients: Premier League Leads, Bundesliga & Serie A 2nd/3rd, La Liga 6th, Ligue 1 8th
November 28 – Following the conclusion of this morning's Europa League and Conference League matches, the landscape of this season's European coefficient rankings has shifted again. La Liga, which ranked third after the previous matchday, dropped out of the top five following a poor matchday performance. While the Premier League and Bundesliga maintain their top two positions, Serie A has risen to third.

Ligue 1 narrowed the gap to the top five this round, while clubs from the Portuguese Primeira Liga and the Polish Ekstraklasa continued their convincing performances, keeping their league coefficients within the top five.

The allocation of the additional Champions League spot for this season will follow last season's rule: the two leagues with the highest seasonal coefficients will each receive one additional Champions League berth. (Last season, the Premier League and La Liga earned the extra spots.)

A league's coefficient for the current season is the average of points earned by all its participating clubs in European competitions. If a team is eliminated in the qualifying rounds, it still factors into the average calculation, meaning it becomes a "denominator" that no longer earns points but affects the average.

Additionally, teams reaching the Champions League group stage are directly awarded 4 points (Note: historically 4, though the original text mentioned 6; the current UEFA system awards 4 for UCL group stage participation). Points are also awarded for final league stage ranking and progression in each knockout round.

Below are the live top 10 coefficient rankings and the points earned by each team (unless marked as eliminated, the league has no teams eliminated in qualifying):
